The Crocs Backlash Spreads

As you can see, even American gossip websites are freaking out about the invasion of Crocs amid Hollywood royalty.

UPDATE: Oh dear, see above, there's another one ... and this is a very unfortunate style choice, one that makes Jack Nicholson's seem almost Armani-ish.

Hee-hee, I have no words.

Although I have to confess that Piko has a pair of Crock knock offs. I got them because she gets hot feet, and likes her shoes loose. I figured these were a no battle solution to a shoe with a "strap" on the back that she can wear when running wild through the neighborhood.
But even she calls them her "Ugly Green Shoes".

And I just remembered that when my brother was getting married, the mother of the ring bearer, who was also the maid of honor asked if it was ok for her son to wear his Crocks at the wedding. My SIL, the nicest person in the world said. "No!"

I think they are acceptable for gardening and/or puttering around the house, but should never be worn out in public.

And, of course, there are all those health hazards Tearfee keeps warning us about.

Jacy, remember that book idea?
Crocked Up?
I think now is the time as this time next year Crocs will be so all over.

Unless they take on an afterlife like Elvis

I have word from inside sources that Crocs aren't that comfortable and make your feet sweat. If true, that makes the whole situation evenmore mysterious.

The newer styles are a lot better, but I'm with GT -- don't see this trend lasting.
