Granny Blogger challenges Tearfree

UPDATE: FANTASTIC NEW COMMENTS

That Granny blogger who’s been cruising the Mummy blogosphere talking smack about Tearfree showed up in our very own comments section yesterday complete with authentic photo ID. (Scroll down to see)

Granny wants readers to check out her blogs -- Roc Rebel Granny and Is America Burning? – so they won’t judge her solely on the basis of the supremely dumb comments she made about Tearfree in all the Mother’s Day run-up hysteria.

In the interests of pursuing her academic research on emerging new media narratives, Tearfree went and had a look at Granny’s blogs and, frankly, she was not impressed. It was all George-Bush-is-a-genocidal-maniac and not even one mention of the country’s greatest hero, Jack Bauer. But, hey, if Bush bashing is your thing, you may like Granny’s blog and feel some cross-generational solidarity, so take a look and give her some traffic.

Roc Rebel Granny really needs to do something about the template -- my eyes are still bleeding.

I hear that kind of stuff was in in the sixties. Psychedelic, man!

Nope - just a nod to the kids on the top of the banner who love purple.

And toxic green.

Shall I get rid of the kiddie pics too?

Ann , the old and decrepit (no cane yet - give me time)

Granny,

I'm not going to comment further on your colours or your decision to let the kiddies choose them, but I will weigh in on another aesthetic issue.

I can see from the photos on your blog that you are one smoking hot GREAT Granny.

And since our relationship is based on honesty, please forgive me for telling you this but the photo you use to blog comment doesn't show you off well at all.

I also think you should change your blog handle to Great Granny since that will give you more cachet. After all, how many GreatGranny bloggers can there be?

And one last question, seeing as you're from San Francisco and you look so fantastic for a Great Granny, would you mind answering if you're a vegetarian?

And congrats on the new baby!!!

I would defend Granny here, but I know that she`s quite capable of defending herself.

I always thought the purple color was a gay/lesbian solidarity thing. Silly me.

People started referring to me as granny and it just stuck. Most other places I use my real name as my user name but granny seemed simpler on the blog.

There are many great-grannies blogging but I may be one of the few raising kids.

No on vegetarian or vegan; yes on flaming liberal (although in the city I was a moderate).

Purple - perhaps I misspoke. It reminds me of the girls - they didn't choose it (and I like purple too). And I held a survey on the toxic green - it's the easiest color to read against the purple as long as I stay with sans serif.

You know, it's funny that someone would refer to Ann's (that's 'Granny', in case you have difficulty figuring that out) comments about this site as ‘dumb’, considering the obvious display of difficulty regarding first/third reference you appear to have.

I also find it somewhat ironic that you attack her for 'bashing' Bush, when this entire site is geared towards 'bashing' Blogging Mothers…Sorry, I mean KOOLAID MOM’S (as I’ve said before – way to go with the witty little word play. All those of superior intellect - that would be the majority of ‘Koolaid Moms – are applauding your stellar performance) who until provoked and attacked, I believe, did sod all to you.

Just saying.

Oh, and I think you’ll find that your troll has been playing away from home.

‘randy’ darling, I thought we had something special…*

Anyhow, a famous phrase comes to mind with regards to your slams of the rather brilliant smokin’ hot Granny Adams who is most certainly not a vegan or vegetarian:

“Those in glass houses should NOT throw stones.”

Heard of it?

If you haven’t, look it up and see if you can grasp the meaning. If you have and you do, somehow, manage to comprehend the message implied, how about you mull it over for a while? It’ll do you, and possibly this site, such as it is, the world of good.

* In case you and your supposed fan club didn’t get the subtlety; that would be *sarcasm*.

Just for the record, I didn't refer to our glorious leader as a genocidal maniac (either directly or indirectly). I share that blog. The other blogger wrote that post. I know because her name is at the bottom.

She is Worried American - I'm not.

Tearfree's policy here -- and, admittedly, she has not been 100% consistent in executing it -- is to use third person in the posts and first person in the comments.

Granny,

It rocks that you are not only a meat eater but a Jack Bauer fan. There can't be many like you in the Bay Area!

There you go again. I'm a Kiefer Sutherland fan. I gave up on 24 after the first two seasons.
